Program Manager - Pharma, Healthcare & AI Programs
Role Overview
We are looking for a senior Program Manager to take ownership of complex healthcare, pharma, and AIenabled delivery programs across Agora Labs' European and international ecosystem.
This role is designed for a highly credible program leader with 8+ years of experience in program or
project leadership, deep exposure to pharma and healthcare environments, and enough AI / technology
fluency to operate confidently with technical, clinical, and executive stakeholders.
The person must be able to step into ambiguous, high-stakes initiatives, create structure, align senior
stakeholders, unblock execution, and represent Agora Labs with authority in front of clients, hospitals,
pharma partners, research institutions, and public-sector counterparts.
Experience in EU-funded projects, European research consortia, Horizon Europe / IHI / IMI-style
programs, or similar multi-country initiatives is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & End-to-End Delivery
Own complex multi-stakeholder programs from setup through execution, governance, delivery
tracking, escalation, and closure.
Translate strategic objectives into clear workplans, milestones, owners, dependencies, risk logs, and
decision forums.
Drive delivery discipline across clinical, technical, product, data, regulatory, and commercial
workstreams.
Identify blockers early, bring the right people into the room, and move unresolved issues toward
credible decisions and action.
Create the operating rhythm required for complex programs: steering committees, executive
updates, project boards, action logs, RAID tracking, and structured follow-up.
Client, Partner & Stakeholder Management
Act as a senior day-to-day counterpart for pharma clients, hospitals, research centres, CROs, public
institutions, and strategic partners.
Build trust with senior client stakeholders by combining executive presence, rigorous follow-through,
and clear understanding of healthcare and pharma realities.
Lead meetings, workshops, project reviews, and difficult alignment conversations with confidence
and precision.
Represent Agora Labs externally in a credible, structured, and commercially mature manner,
especially when projects are complex, delayed, or politically sensitive.
Balance diplomacy with firmness when setting expectations, clarifying responsibilities, and
protecting delivery quality.
Pharma, Healthcare & Clinical Program Execution
Coordinate programs involving real-world data, observational studies, clinical AI validation, digital
health, patient data activation, or evidence-generation use cases.
Work effectively with clinical leaders, medical affairs, RWE teams, data providers, research teams,
ethics / governance stakeholders, and technical implementation teams.
Ensure project plans reflect the operational constraints of hospitals, data access, clinical workflows,
privacy, security, and regulated evidence generation.
Support the preparation of client-facing materials, governance packs, status reports, workstream
summaries, and decision documents.
AI, Data & Technology Coordination
Bridge business, clinical, and technical stakeholders across AI, data engineering, federated learning,
analytics, privacy-preserving computation, and platform deployment topics.
Translate technical dependencies and constraints into language that client and clinical stakeholders
can understand and act on.
Coordinate with product, engineering, data science, security, and clinical teams to keep delivery
realistic, aligned, and technically coherent.
Ensure that AI-enabled initiatives remain grounded in clinical value, evidence quality, regulatory
expectations, and implementation feasibility.
EU Projects & Consortium Governance
Support or lead Agora Labs participation in European projects, research collaborations, grant-funded
programs, and multi-country consortia where relevant.
Coordinate deliverables, partner commitments, reporting cycles, governance routines, and
documentation expected in EU or public-private project environments.
Help convert consortium objectives into executable workstreams that remain aligned with Agora
Labs product, clinical, and commercial priorities.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Health
Informatics, Computer Science, Management, or a related field.
Advanced degree, MBA, PhD, or formal project / program management certification is a plus when
paired with strong delivery experience.
Experience
8+ years of experience in program management, project leadership, consulting delivery, pharma /
healthcare operations, digital health, clinical research, RWE, or related complex delivery roles.
Proven track record owning complex projects with multiple senior stakeholders, external clients,
cross-functional teams, and material delivery risk.
Deep familiarity with pharma and healthcare environments, including the expectations of pharma
sponsors, hospitals, clinicians, research centres, and regulated data or evidence-generation
workflows.
Experience with AI, data platforms, health-tech, MedTech, clinical data, RWE, or digital-health
implementation is strongly preferred.
Experience in EU-funded projects, European research consortia, Horizon Europe, IHI / IMI, EIT Health,
or comparable public-private initiatives is a strong plus.
Domain, AI & Technical Fluency
Strong understanding of healthcare and pharma project dynamics, including clinical workflows,
evidence needs, stakeholder governance, privacy constraints, and implementation dependencies.
Good working knowledge of AI, healthcare data, analytics, digital health platforms, and technical
delivery concepts; the person does not need to code, but must be able to manage technical
conversations credibly.
Ability to challenge vague requirements, expose hidden dependencies, and turn clinical / technical
complexity into a practical delivery plan.
Execution & Communication
Outstanding client-facing standing: credible, composed, structured, and able to hold the room with
senior pharma, clinical, technical, and institutional stakeholders.
Highly organized, hands-on, and comfortable taking control of ambiguous or under-structured
projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English, including executive updates, meeting
synthesis, project documentation, and escalation notes.
Able to operate with urgency without losing judgment, detail, or professional tone.
Languages & Mobility
Fluent English mandatory.
Italian or another major European language is a strong plus.
Willingness to travel periodically across Italy and Europe for client meetings, hospital workshops,
consortium meetings, and project reviews.
What We Offer
A central role in delivering Agora Labs' most strategic healthcare, pharma, RWE, and AI programs.
Direct exposure to senior stakeholders across pharma, hospitals, research centres, public
institutions, and European innovation ecosystems.
The opportunity to take ownership of complex initiatives where execution quality directly affects
company credibility and growth.
A fast-moving, international environment at the intersection of healthcare, AI, privacy-preserving
technology, and clinical evidence generation.
Flexible, mission-driven working environment with high visibility and meaningful responsibility.
