Clinical Data Manager Healthcare & RWE
Role Overview
We are looking for a Clinical Data Manager to support the activation, valorization, and use of clinical data within the Agora Labs ecosystem.
The role operates across three main pillars:
1) Support and value creation for Data Providers (hospitals, clinics, IRCCS):
Expanding the scope of data covered by already-active nodes
Enabling the development of research protocols and coordinating with ethics committees
Supporting the analysis of clinical data through Agora Labs platform modules
2) Interaction with Industry (Pharma, Medical Device, AI MedTech):
Contributing to the identification and structuring of opportunities in RWE, clinical studies, and AI projects applied to research and diagnostics
3) Technical/clinical support to research teams and SMEs in data analysis and the clinical interpretation of key research outputs / AI models generated within projects enabled by the Agora Labs platform.
This is a highly cross-functional role—at the intersection of clinical research, data analysis, product, and business development—ideal for a medium-seniority profile with growth ambitions in data-driven healthcare innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Stewardship (ponte clinico tra Tech, Prodotto e Go-to-Market
Act as an internal clinical steward: translate clinical constraints, priorities, and "ground truth" into operational requirements for technical teams (data engineering, AI/analytics, product), ensuring that data/model/product choices remain consistent with real clinical workflows, definitions, and needs.
Own the clinical validation of outputs together with clinicians/PIs and SMEs: define criteria for clinical plausibility, consistency checks, interpretability, and robustness; document assumptions, biases, and limitations.
Define and maintain a clinical glossary and a shared set of definitions (cohorts, endpoints, baseline, follow-up, outcomes, proxies, confounders) to align clinical, statistical, and tech stakeholders
Clinical Interpretation (dare significato clinico agli output tecnico-statistici/AI)
Lead the definition of “clinically relevant” metrics for reporting and dashboards (clinical endpoints and proxies, thresholds, stratifications, time windows), ensuring readability and practical utility for clinicians and sponsors.
Drive the proposal of study opportunities and data valorization pathways (research, medical AI, etc.) starting from the data assets available on the Agora Labs platform
Data Provider & Clinical Research Support

Support hospitals and clinics in defining clinical and observational research protocols (RWE). [JD Data Ac...ng Version | Word]
Facilitate alignment among clinicians, ethics committees, and hospital stakeholders to support correct and effective submission of clinical protocols for clinical data “activation.” [JD Data Ac...ng Version | Word]
Collaborate with clinicians and researchers to understand the structure, quality, and potential of available data. [JD Data Ac...ng Version | Word]
Use Agora Labs solution modules for:
exploration and analysis of clinical data
supporting the generation of scientific evidence
preparing outputs for observational and clinical studies
Support Data Providers in adopting the platform and using the tools correctly and effectively.
Industry & RWE Project Support
Support the Agora Labs management team in identifying collaboration opportunities with:
Pharma
Medical Device
AI & Digital Health / MedTech
Research institutes
Contribute to the definition of:
RWE use cases
clinical and post-marketing studies
AI projects applied to research and diagnostics
Collaborate on collecting and analyzing scientific requirements and the data needs requested by industrial partners.
Data & AI Exposure
Support clinical data analysis activities (descriptive, exploratory, comparative).
Act as a technical liaison with internal and external clinical leadership.
Collaborate with internal teams (data science, product) on projects that include:
AI models applied to clinical research
federated learning and distributed data analysis approaches
Contribute to scientific and project documentation (concept notes, study outlines, partner materials).
Required Qualifications
Education
Master's degree in a relevant field, with two equivalent tracks:
(1) Clinical / Life-Sciences track: Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Public Health, Epidemiology, or related disciplines with demonstrated exposure to clinical research and real-world data.
(2) Data / Engineering track: Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics/Biostatistics, Engineering, Health Informatics, or related disciplines, with demonstrated exposure to healthcare data and clinical workflows.
Strongly preferred: postgraduate training or substantial coursework in Clinical Research methods, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or Health Data Science
Experience
More than 3 years of experience in:
management and/or analysis of healthcare or clinical data
clinical research settings, observational studies, or CRO environments (preferred)
Familiarity with hospital environments or clinical research is a plus.
Languages & Mobility
Fluent Italian (native or equivalent).
Fluent English (professional level).
A third language (e.g., German or French) is a plus.
Willingness to travel within Italy (~30–50% of the time) for activities at Data Providers and partners.
