Business Development Manager (DACH)
Location: Germany / DACH region (hybrid)
Reporting to: VP Sales / Chief Business Officer
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager (DACH) will be responsible for driving Agora Labs’ commercial expansion in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, building strategic relationships with hospitals, pharma companies, CROs, and innovation ecosystems.
This role combines enterprise sales, partnership development, and ecosystem building in a market where data protection, regulatory compliance, and trust are critical success factors.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across the DACH healthcare and life-science ecosystem
Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, value proposition definition, proposal, negotiation, and closing
Build and maintain a structured pipeline of qualified opportunities
Market Expansion (DACH Focus)
Develop Agora Labs’ presence within:
University hospitals and hospital groups
Research networks and disease registries
Pharma, biotech, and CRO organizations
Navigate complex buying processes involving clinical, IT, legal, data protection, and procurement stakeholders
Value Proposition & Solution Selling
Position Agora Labs’ solutions around:
Real-World Evidence generation
Federated learning and privacy-preserving AI
On-premises data activation and monetization
Translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear business and clinical value
Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
Build long-term partnerships with:
Hospitals and healthcare networks
Pharma and CROs
Innovation hubs, accelerators, and public institutions
Collaborate with strategic partners (e.g. Future4care Germany) to support market entry and credibility
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with product, tech, legal, and compliance teams to co-design proposals and projects
Contribute to go-to-market strategy, pricing models, and commercial positioning for the DACH region
Required Experience & Skills
Professional Experience
5+ years of experience in Business Development / Enterprise Sales in:
Digital Health, HealthTech, Life Sciences, Pharma, CRO, MedTech, or AI
Proven experience selling complex B2B solutions with long sales cycles
Track record in managing strategic partnerships and multi-stakeholder deals
Domain Knowledge
Strong understanding of at least some of the following:
Real-World Data / Real-World Evidence
Clinical research and healthcare data ecosystems
Data protection, GDPR, and data sovereignty
AI-enabled solutions in healthcare (business-level understanding)
Soft Skills
Strong consultative and value-based selling skills
Ability to operate autonomously in a scale-up environment
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Comfortable working across cultures and in international contexts
Languages
Fluent German and English (mandatory)
Additional languages (French or Italian) are a plus
